Do you want play a leading role in the development and execution of the NN Non-Life strategy in the coming years?

We are looking for a Senior Manager Strategy and Transformation Office who is able to lead the Non-Life strategy for the years to come. NN Non-Life is a leading insurance company in the Netherlands with a strong brand name, excellent customer satisfaction and a full range of insurance solutions offered through multiple channels.

NN Non-Life is currently undergoing a digital transformation with the goal to simplify the company and increase efficiency. The goal is to combine the excellent customer experience with competitive product offerings to boost sustainable growth. The Strategy and Transformation Office team is leading to develop this journey and to work on its execution.

Wat ga je doen?

You will be in charge of the development of NN Non-Life strategy and transformation for the coming years. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

Develop, maintain and refine the Non-Life strategy
Providing the Non-Life management team with requested and self-initiated advice
Continuously identifying opportunities to improve the company from a helicopter view that overlooks all different parts of the business
Improving the portfolio management of NN Non Life key strategy programmes
- Align business unit and Staff department plans with Program portfolio
- Prepare updates for the Management Board (MB) and Supervisory Board (SB)
- Create transparency on progress and impact across NN
- Link with the communication team on internal and external messaging
Improve the standards and quality of the internal strategy consulting team and the programme management office
Step in and remove obstacles if the progress of an initiatives is hampered. You will have the capacity of a team with internal consultants that can work on the obstacles in a strategy consultant like project structure
Create and manage rituals in which difficult choices / dilemmas are coming to the surface, and in which resources spend versus expected value are being challenged across NN. And to bring these choices / dilemmas unbiased and in understandable blocks to the Non Life Board
Understand the organisational changes required to get towards our end goal, and lead this change within the organisation
Engage with senior management and all project teams to ensure commitment and progress

You will be managing a team of ~15 FTE, supporting you in delivering the above mentioned responsibilities.

Salary between €9.714,- and €13.878,- based on a 40 hours depending on your knowledge and experience

Wat je meebrengt

Masters Degree
A seasoned expert with at least 10 years of relevant experience in the field of strategy consultancy, strategic transformation and/or change management within the financial industry, and proven ability to combine strategic vision with a high level of execution
Experienced with the ins and outs of an insurance company (or related expertise), on both a strategic level as well as on execution
An approachable personality and stakeholder manager, who enjoys collaboration and is able to open doors and successfully build and manage relationships and networks
Strong ability to work and communicate with diverse groups of stakeholders in different cultural, functional and geographical boundaries (preference for candidates with international working experience)
A balanced ‘natural leader’, who stands her/his ground and is able to perform in a demanding, complex and dynamic environment, and coordinate multiple projects
A very structured professional, with a strong business acumen and ‘can-do’ mentality
Preferred experience with strategy consultancy
Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)

You will work very closely with senior management within and outside of NN Non-Life, in order to drive the strategy forward together. Your position is reporting directly to Director of SDIP. You will closely work with the CEO NN Non-Life and other Directors within and outside of NN Non-Life. You will work closely with a group of programme managers who will deliver on each of the workstreams, and will have a network of internal and external multidisciplinary experts to help you reach your ambitions.
