
Oversight & Reporting Actuary
What you are going to do
This varied role will keep you engaged with a broad scope of actuarial tasks, from overseeing actuarial functions across the group to providing valuable insights on actuarial metrics to management. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure high-quality reporting and act as a key advisor on actuarial matters. Your work will drive improvements in actuarial processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. In addition, you will:
- Coordinate the actuarial function across NN Group
- Strengthen the actuarial function community, enabling best practice sharing
- Provide actuarial oversight of business units, focusing on reserving, underwriting and reinsurance practices in the units
- Implement and maintain actuarial policies and standards, ensuring they meet group-wide requirements
- Contribute to accurate and clear actuarial reporting, providing actionable insights to stakeholders
- Drive ongoing improvements in actuarial processes, focusing on efficiency and automation
- Oversee the actuarial reporting of new business, insights from solvency ratios and other key metrics
- Provide actuarial advice on various (strategic) matters to business units and Group stakeholders

Who you are
As a proactive person, you thrive in an evolving environment. You are results-driven and are always looking for ways to improve processes and automate and streamline reporting. With a strong sense of ownership, you translate complex actuarial data into clear, strategic insights. You enjoy intellectual challenges and you are an efficiency-focused pragmatist. Additionally, you have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Econometrics, Actuarial Science or another quantitative field
- At least 3 years of experience in life or non-life insurance, focused on actuarial valuation and/or reporting
- Strong analytical and numerical skills to challenge and explain Solvency II and IFRS17 results
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate numbers into meaningful insights
Who you will work with
You will be part of our Actuarial Reporting and Oversight team, a diverse and international group of six, including a trainee. We collaborate closely and offer a broad range of actuarial expertise. NN Group has a hybrid working model. One fixed office day helps us stay connected as a team, while other in-office days depend on collaboration needs. As part of the Chief Actuary Office, our team plays a key role in executing the actuarial function across NN Group, ensuring accuracy in technical provisions and related metrics.
