Data Engineer - Customer Data Solutions

At a glance

We are looking for IT Engineers (Data Engineering) to build a new Domain Data Store for our new freshly launched Customer Data Solutions domain (Part of CIO COO & Functions). Customer Data Solutions is driving the foundation of customer value by facilitating seamless customer processes, high quality data & future state applications. The IT Engineer is at the heart of this important development aimed at IT delivery to support ABN AMRO’s strategic roadmap related to our customers.

Your job

As an IT Engineer you will have a crucial contribution in making relevant and high-quality data available to internal stakeholders. The work focuses on creation of data products that helps our internal stakeholders to provide the best solutions for our customers. In short you will work on: 

• Developing, testing, and deploying applications and frameworks
• Collecting, loading, preparing, cleaning, and delivering big and diverse datasets
• Building, monitoring and maintaining pipelines
• Optimizing the applications performances and the data delivery
• Identifying ways of improving the data quality and efficiency
• Aligning and collaborating with stakeholders, product owners and architects

Working environment

You will be working within the IT Value cluster Customer Data Solutions. The atmosphere within the team and the department is open and informal. Your profile

You have a strong drive to continuously improve your expertise. You are good at conveying your expertise to others, sharing information with team members and working together to come up with solutions to complex problems. You are not afraid to voice your opinion and getting things done is a motto you live by. What are we looking for:

• 3-8 years of experience in data engineering
• BSc or MSc in computer science or relevant field
• Highly skilled in Python, Spark and Airflow
• Experience with Azure data tooling (Databricks, Data Factory, Azure DevOps, etc.) 
• Experienced with SQL 
• Understanding of distributed systems 
• Experience with building ETL data pipelines 
• Experience with using CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Testing 
• Fluent in English
